【Course selection】Why can undergraduate students only select a limited number of courses during the initial online selection period?
Course selection limitations during the initial selection period have been implemented to guarantee a reasonable and fair selection process, take account of student needs, and prevent seniors from taking up too much of the available capacity and thereby deny juniors, sophomores, and freshmen the chance to sign up for courses. Course selection limitations only apply to core courses (general education courses). Professional courses, PE, national defense education and military training, and service learning are not subject to these limitations. No limitations are in effect for the course addition and withdrawal period. However, students may only register for one PE course during the initial selection period. Students who wish to sign up for more courses may do so during the course addition and withdrawal period, Transfer/returning students or students who must retake PE courses or are in their graduation years may proceed to the NDHU Center for Physical Education to register for courses if they are unable to select courses online.
◎Course selection limitations during the initial selection period are as follows:
Seniors(including deferred graduates): Maximum of three General Education courses
Juniors: Maximum of four General Education courses
Sophomores: Maximum of five General Education courses
Freshmen: Students may select an unlimited number of General Education courses
